  OR-2-3 Optical Reflectometer
OR-2-3 Optical Reflectometer
Optical reflectometers OR-2-3 is designed to measure attenuation in optical fibers (OF) and their splices, OF length and distance to the fault.

OR-2-3 is manufactured in several modifications:
for singlemode OF – with standard and increased dynamic range
for multimode OF – for OF 50/125 µm and 62,5/125 µm It’s the first in the world OTDR which needs neither batteries nor mains supply unit.

General Specifications:
OTDR operation, processing and displaying measurement result is done with the help of a PC
the software allows for determining all the required OF parameters, simultaneously analyzing several traces on the PC screen, storing on the disk and reading from it measurement data, printing out measurement data
"Template" mode which considerably reduces the time of measurement and certification of optical cable link
storing and reading traces in the BELLCORE format
availability of the function of determining external signal in the OF under test and evaluation of its power
OTDR power supply is done through USB-port of the PC that’s why it needs neither power supply unit nor batteries. The current consumed from USB-port is no more than 0,2 A (standard USB-port provides output voltage of 5 W & current 0,5 A).
